Alembic was founded on the 29th of March 1965, making it the oldest study association on campus. This year Alembic will celebrate its 55th dies with a lustrum week filled with activities at the end of March. For more information check the lustrum website!

Ascension weekend means ONCS time (Open Nederlandse Chemie Sportdagen)! Alembic participated in this biggest chemical students sports event, hosted in Enschede this year. Over 700 participants from all over the country came to Twente to sport and party for three days straight. Of course, every game has a winner and this ‘Game of Electhrones’ has been won by … C.T.S.G. Last Friday, March 29th, C.T.S.G. Alembic turned 54! After a day with garlands and cake (it was our birthday after all), we ended the evening with a beautiful gala in De Jaargetijden. Alembic hosted its fifth edition of the Chemical Engineering Branch Day in De Jaargetijden on the 12th of March. This is a day for master students to interact with different companies to orient on their future career. There were lectures held by Shell and FieslandCampina, and a case held by Fluor. Last week Alembic pushed its boundaries once again as 30 Bachelor students CSE traveled way into Germany for the KBR (KleineBuitenlandReis), which is the annual European Study trip. We visited the TU Dresden, Leibniz Polymer Institute, DAS Environmental Experts, Sunfire, IPF and the Feldschlösschen brewery. All in three days! The board wants to thank the KBR committee and all participating parties!
On the 19th of December the CCF was organized in the Waaier building. Over sixty students and six companies participated in the three-hour event. During the small business market, representatives of Convergence, HoSt, LipoCoat, Pentair, Saint-Gobain & Zeton informed engaged students about the employment possibilities at their companies.
